Birkhill castle has wonderful rooms in which to relax and entertain. The reception rooms provide many options. Afternoon tea in the elegant drawing room, a dram by the fire in the library surrounded by the family’s collection of rare and historic books; dinner in the beautiful dining room or go to the ballroom for larger parties and events. The country-style kitchen is perfect for breakfast and other meals; or relax in the cosy sitting room next door where you can sip a cappuccino and read the paper in peace.
Relaxing downstairs
Curl up with a book or relax in front of a good movie. The sitting rooms at Birkhill are just the place to unwind. With big comfy sofas and open fires, enjoy a large collection of books, board-games, backgammon, chess, table tennis and two Steinway pianos.

Whether in the dining room, the ballroom or on the beach for a barbeque, enjoy good food, wine and conversation with family and friends.
Ballroom
The ballroom provides useful extra space for up to 50 guests. Perfect for a evening of dancing, dining, a Scottish Ceilidh; or use it as a games room to keep both adults and children entertained.
